For some of our services we require two ID documents as proof of identity before we are able to fully set up your account.
Two documents are required, one from each list
Please note that we cannot release mail to you without receiving sight of original ID, or suitably certified copies for all persons for whom mail is to be received, held or forwarded.
For Business customers including registered companies, partnerships, trusts and charities, ID is required for beneficial owners, persons with significant control and all individuals or Legal Persons controlling over 25% of shares or voting rights, where applicable by type of business.
All ID must be sent or taken in person to a Mail Boxes Etc. store when your mailbox rental commences and may be required on a periodic basis if your circumstances or, if the rules governing the operating of a mailbox service, change. the Mail Boxes Etc. location need not be the location selected for the Mailbox Rental service.
You must not use or quote your mailbox address for any purpose until such time as we have issued your mailbox number and no mail will be released to you until we have received and approved your ID, a copy of which will be kept securely on file.
(A) Photo Identification – Proof of identity
- Passport
- Photo card Driving licence
- HM Forces Identity Card
- A current student card
- Disabled Drivers Blue Badge Pass
(B) Proof of Address (provided both name and address is shown)
- Gas or electricity bill
- Telephone/Mobile bill
- Current mortgage statement
- Current Council Tax bill
- Bank/Building Society statement
- Credit card/store card bill
- Pay slip
- Current P45/P60 statement
- Financial statement (e.g. pension, endowment)
All proofs of address must be less than 3 months old.
Proofs can be submitted to our support team during sign up. But on your first visit you will be required to verify photo id in person.
